OPen House and Entrance Exam Dates

Information Session

East Catholic will be holding an information session on Thursday, February 27. This informal meeting will provide parents and guardians the opportunity to go on mini-tours, learn more about East Catholic, as well as receive the answers to all their questions.

Please drop in between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. and we will be happy to show you around. The pre-registration for this session is preferred but not required. Please let us know about your intent to visit East Catholic high school by visiting our Google Forms sign-up.

Entrance Exam Date - Saturday, March 28, 8:30 a.m. to noon

All eighth graders applying for entry to East Catholic High School must also take the HSPT entrance exam (including home-schooled students). A student currently enrolled as a freshman in another high school, who is applying as a transfer student, also must take the HSPT exam. If a student has taken the HSPT exam at another high school, the parent/guardian may have the test results forwarded to East Catholic for consideration by contacting the school where the test was given. We will be hosting an exam on Saturday, March 28. The test will begin at 8:30 a.m. and end around noon. Parents and guardians are welcome to join us for informal information sessions during the exams. Sessions will run from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m. and again from 11:15 a.m. to noon.

Registration for our entrance exams is preferred, but not required. Please take a moment to reserve your spot by filling out the Entrance Exam Pre-Registration Form. Should you have any questions or have a conflict with the scheduled date, please reach out to the admissions office at (860) 649.5336, ext. 6456.

Experience East Catholic

We offer tours by appointment to families and friends interested in getting to know us better. We understand that part of gathering information means coming in person to see everything first hand.

Experience East through our “Eagle for a Day” program that pairs the student visitor with an EC host who will conduct the visitor through an authentic day at East with visitors experiencing classroom instruction, electives, and a complimentary lunch. Please email Mrs. Dorota Debski, associate director of admissions, or call (860) 649-5336, ext. 6456 to schedule a family tour or an “Eagle for a Day” visit.
