Graduation Requirements

We require students to take 24 academic credits for graduation:

  • 4 English
  • 4 Religion
  • 4 Mathematics (Beginning with the class of 2014)
  • 3 Science (Biology required)
  • 3 Social Studies (United States History required; Civics required beginning with the class of 2017)
  • 2 World Language
  • 3 Electives (1 Fine Arts)

In addition, students must also complete Freshman Skills, health, and the physical education requirements. We require each student to complete a minimum of 40 hours of community service over four years.

Regardless of the number of previous credits earned, seniors must pass six academic subjects in their senior year unless there are extenuating circumstances.

Honors Program

The Honors Program offers courses of substantial academic rigor throughout all four years at East Catholic. In addition, we offer numerous advanced placement courses, all of which have been approved by the College Board.
