Supporters Sought for Taste of East

We are so appreciative of your support for East Catholic through the Taste of East! We are changing this event from our planned April 4 gathering to an online event. Please stay tuned for more information.

Restaurants from around Greater Hartford will show off their culinary skills before hungry diners at the annual Taste of East on Saturday, April 4, 2020. The event will benefit East Catholic High School. While the roster of restaurants is full, event planners are currently looking for event sponsors and donations of auction items. Also, we need advertisers which we will distribute their ads in the program to the capacity of a crowd that fills the East Catholic High School cafeteria every year.

Diners can sample food and drink from some of the areas signature restaurants including A Villa Louisa, BJ's Brewhouse, Café Aura, Carbone's Ristorante Hartford, Elicit Brewing, Elmo’s Dockside, First & Last Tavern (Hartford), Hartford Road Pizza, Highland Park Market, First and Last Tavern Hartford, Mulberry Street, Pastrami on Wry, Shady Glen, The Main Pub, and Urban Lodge Brewing. Those with a sweet tooth can also sample candies from Munson’s Chocolates.

The event’s presenting sponsor is Andreo Family Enterprises. Other sponsorship levels range from $1000 down to $100 and include tickets to the event. We will recognize sponsors within the program.

Event organizers are also looking for donations such as gift cards, tickets to concerts, or sporting events. Also, the use of vacation homes or themed baskets are in need. We will offer these items as live and silent auction items. Emceeing the event and the live auction will be Renee DiNino, from iHeart radio and WFSB Channel 3.

Supporters may also choose to contribute to the event by buying ads in the program book, which we will distribute, to the event’s traditionally sold-out crowd. The crowd for this event is often full of East Catholic alumni, members of the school’s faculty and staff, relatives and friends of East Catholic students, and members of the community.

Sponsorship opportunities are available until March 20, 2020. To participate in the event or for more information, email Heidi F. Carlson, Associate Director of Advancement, or call (860) 649-5336 ext. 6234.

Advanced sales of the tickets to attend the event just became available.

The proceeds from the Taste of East support East Catholic’s Annual Fund, which provides tuition assistance and educational resources to East Catholic students.
