Commended Students in the 2021 National Merit Scholarship Program


East Catholic High School President Sean P. Brennan ’85 announced today that Jake Phelan has been named a Commended Student in the 2021 National Merit Scholarship Program.

Manchester, CT, Aug. 3, 2020 - Sean P. Brennan has been appointed president of East Catholic High School. He brings 32 years of experience in the educational field to the position. Brennan is a 1985 graduate of East Catholic High School.

East Catholic celebrated the class of 2020 with a virtual awards ceremony on Tuesday, June 2, a live-streamed Baccalaureate Mass on Wednesday, June 3, and a virtual graduation ceremony on Thursday, June 4.

East Catholic High School Freshman Finds His Own Way to Help Fight Coronavirus


MANCHESTER, CT, April 29, 2020 -- A Glastonbury teenager is doing his part to protect healthcare workers by printing protective face masks in his basement. Fifteen-year-old Jonah Hornak, a member of East Catholic High School’s Robotics Team, has been using the team’s 3D printer to produce protective face masks and face mask buckles for the healthcare workers at Hartford Hospital.

East Catholic Recognized with Sportsmanship Award


Manchester, CT, December 11, 2019 - East Catholic High School has been awarded its sixth Michael’s Cup for sportsmanship achievements during the 2018–2019 academic year. East Catholic was recently honored at the CIAC Sportsmanship Conference at the Aqua Turf Club in Southington.
