Thanks to the thoughtful generosity of major donors and grantors, timely loans from the Archdiocese of Hartford, and a mindful policy of fiscal discipline, East Catholic High School has sustained a 10-year period of continuous improvement and growth in plant and facility projects. Eighteen major projects have been completed.
* All classrooms and labs in the science wing were completely renovated.
* A complete renovation of the school's library resulted in creation of a state-of-the-art library media center, including a computer lab and distance-learning center.
* An elevator was installed, making all three floors of the main building accessible to all.
* The boys and girls locker rooms were renovated, the Athletic Director's office was refurbished, and the entrance to original gym was reconstructed.
* The original gym was repainted and new backboards were installed.
* A second gym was built; a fitness center, training room, and team room were added.
* All hallways and lockers throughout the school were repainted; new ceilings and lighting were installed. New flooring was installed on the upper level and all bathrooms were completely refurbished.
* The front entrance was replaced, the overhang was repaired (including lighting), and the landscape planters in the front were replanted. The roof of main building was replaced.
* A state-of-the-art digital photography and graphics arts lab was created in annex.
* New stairways leading to annex and lower fields were added; sidewalks around the front of building were replaced. New lighting was installed in all parking lots.
* All driveways and parking lots were repaved, catch basins were replaced, the driveway to the lower fields was paved, and a new parking area was created behind annex.
* Two classrooms were created in annex.
