Volunteers from the Parents Association support many school functions. These supported activities include:
Holly Brunch – This annual holiday favorite will be held on Sunday, December 5, 2010 and sponsored by the Parents Association. This is a festive way to begin the holiday season with our ECHS community. The delicious catered brunch includes entertainment. Proceeds benefit scholarships established in memory of beloved faculty and staff of East Catholic.
Back to School Night – Volunteers from The Parents Association provide refreshments and greet families in support of the school that hosts this event.
Advancement Office Help – The Advancement Office frequently distributes large mailings and often requests help with various tasks such as sorting and stuffing envelopes.
ECHS Carnival - Hosted by the Advancement Office, there will be plenty of food, fun and entertainment for all ages. Many parent volunteers will be needed to help during this major fundraiser for the school community. The event was held on August 3 - 7, 2010.
Golf Tournament – The 20th Annual Tom Malin '65 Eagle Invitational Golf Tournament is a major fundraiser for East Catholic High School and is sponsored by the ECHS Advancement Office. The Parents Association supports this event held at Blackledge Country Club, Hebron, CT. The date for this event will be held on Friday, June 10, 2011.
Grandparents Appreciation Day –Volunteers from The Parents Association will assist The Advancement Office with this daytime biennial event to be hosted again on Thursday, September 30, 2010.
Guidance Night Programs – The ECHS Guidance Department hosts four programs throughout the year to assist juniors and seniors and their families with the college search and admissions process. Volunteers from The Parents Association provide refreshments and general assistance to the Guidance Department.
New Families Picnic - We support the Admissions Office in welcoming new families to our community during this daytime event held on Sunday, August 29, 2010.
New Parent Orientation – Volunteers from The Parents Association assist the ECHS faculty and staff in welcoming new families to our school.
Open House – Volunteers from the Parents Association support the Admissions Office with this event. The Open House provides prospective students and their families an opportunity to tour the school campus and meet our dedicated faculty and staff. Co-chairpersons: Heidi Carlson & Diane Tyler.
