Library
Since the earliest days of the school, the East Catholic library has been a unique spot for study, research, special projects, and pleasure reading for students and faculty alike. In fall of 2000, the library was expanded and renovated into a modern, attractive 3,000 square-foot library media center, retaining the best of the "traditional" library while incorporating the latest in state-of-the-art computers and technology. The new library media center includes a computer center with 17 work stations, a distance-learning center with 2 desktop computers and 36 laptop computers on 2 rolling carts, and 13 additional work stations in the main area. East is committed to ensuring that the library, as well as the rest of the school, stay abreast of the latest in computers and educational technology.
Still a popular gathering spot for quiet study and research for both students and faculty, the library is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday.
