Opportunities to Support East Catholic

East Catholic High School is grateful to the many alumni/ae, parents, and friends who, by their thoughtful and generous financial support, have enabled the school to sustain its outstanding tradition of academic excellence for nearly half a century. There are many ways for alumni/ae and friends to show their support of East Catholic High School.

Annual Fund: The East Catholic Annual Fund seeks to attract unrestricted gifts to help underwrite operating costs and bridge the gap between tuition income and the actual cost to operate the school and its programs. Funds are used for scholarship assistance, fine arts and science equipment, athletic equipment, and computers and technology.

Endowment and Scholarship Funds: A number of endowment and scholarship funds have been established at East. These restricted funds make awards to deserving students in the form of scholarships or financial aid. Each year, a number of families elect to establish new endowed scholarships to remember or honor family members (living or deceased), colleagues, or friends. The establishment of new funds is welcomed and appreciated.

Fund A Need: Fund A Need is an innovative way to assist East Catholic students at any level that suits the donor's interest and pocketbook. Some choose to help defray the cost of a student's tuition, others may want to help in purchasing textbooks. Each gift directly benefits a current East Catholic student. While gifts at any level are greatly appreciated, suggested giving levels and the areas they will benefit include:

         Gold-$1,000, to benefit tuition assistance
         Silver-$500, to benefit uniform assistance
Bronze-$250, a pledge for text books
Blue & White-$100, to defray the cost of field trips
         Patron-$50, for general needs

Matching Gift Programs
: Many companies participate in a matching gift program that can, in some cases, double your gift to East Catholic. Check with your human resources department for information on your employer's policy. Donors to East should obtain a matching gift form in their human resource office and send the form to the school with their gift.
